Jamie joins the elite Legionnaires club.
London South 2022 was one of our largest events ever recorded. But do you know who else is breaking records? Jamie Gane 🔥100x Tough Mudder runs in the bag.
Jamie finished his 100th run at our London South event and has now joined the elite 100X Mudder Legion. We awarded him for his continuous efforts for getting down and dirty with us with our brand new gold metal headband.
Ooooo so shiny 👑
The question on everyone’s mind is… Why 100 Tough Mudders? While he’s not gearing up for his next event (Yep he really does LOVE it) we managed to get some answers.
Why 100 Tough Mudders?
Why not right? So when I first started doing Tough Mudder I was in a wheelchair and was just about to have my leg amputated. I knew as part of my amputation i had to be fit so my friend said to me why not do a Tough Mudder? I then started walking the courses and then running the courses and one after the other led to 100.
What keeps you going and pushing forward?
The opportunity to continue helping new adaptive athletes and introducing new people to the challenge.
What has been the hardest challenge you have faced during a Tough Mudder run?
World’s Toughest Mudder, 4 degrees overnight after already running 20 miles.
What is your favourite obstacle?
Electroshock Therapy, absolutely i LOVE it.
What is it that you enjoy the most when running the course?
Helping first timers complete their first course and watching people push their boundaries.
Any advice to someone who has never run a Tough Mudder?
Go there with an open mind and be open to helping others and being helped.
When is your next Tough Mudder?
Tomorrow (Sunday 25th September 2022)
Follow in Jamie’s foot steps and join us at an event coming up soon.
